President Donald Trump has privately informed several people, including EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt, that he intends to pull the United States out of the Paris “climate change” agreement, according to multiple sources.

According to a report from Axios, President Trump told several confidantes that the U.S. will quit the Obama-era Paris climate deal.

The report states that this information comes from “three sources with direct knowledge.”

Breitbart News has also confirmed this report and revealed that Trump “has told others the same thing,” that he indeed plans to withdraw the U.S. from the agreement.

From Breitbart:

While at the G7 summit, Trump was heavily lobbied to endorse the Paris Climate Agreement, but he declined to do so. The agreement was entered into under the Obama Administration. German Chancellor Angela Merkel characterized climate change talks with Trump as “very unsatisfying.”

On Friday, White House economic advisor Gary Cohn characterized President Trump’s position on climate change as “evolving,” though it was not clear exactly what that meant.

AFP reported that the Trump administration was “divided” over the Paris climate agreement, with some members of team Trump urging the president to keep his promise and withdraw the U.S. from the agreement, and others telling him not to do so.

On Saturday, while Trump was in Italy for the G7 summit, he tweeted that he would make his final decision on the Paris climate agreement next week.
