Maybe Nancy Pelosi doesn’t like walls because her brain seems to hit one so often.

During her weekly press conference on Thursday, the House Minority Leader stood in silence for five long seconds, seemingly groping for words.

After she was asked about building a border wall, Pelosi cut off the question and denounced the idea.

After initially having trouble hearing the reporter’s question, Pelosi asked the woman to repeat it.

“Would it be better to build a wall,” the woman said, before being cut off.

“No, it would not be better to build a wall,” Pelosi sniffed.

“A wall is ineffective, it’s expensive, immoral, and where there might be some places where it’s useful from a security and a uh, um,” she said, before staring blankly at reporters for a awkwardly long five seconds, waving her hands as if trying to find the words.

“Mutually agreed upon protection for each side to have some structure, let’s see what that is,” she continued.

Salon reports some 20 Democrats are campaigning against Pelosi and vow to replace her should they get elected.

It’s not hard to wonder why…
