A Thanksgiving morning segment on Fox News went off the rails and was ultimately cut short after a guest compared Hillary Clinton to herpes.

Anna Paulina, the “Director of Hispanic Engagement” for Turning Point USA, threw the segment for a loop when she began talking about border security when she was apparently supposed to be addressing Clinton.

Host Rick Leventhal seemed perturbed, changing it to that subject.

After banter with the other guest, former Clinton pollster Doug Schoen, Paulina interjected, “She won’t go away. She’s like herpes.”

“Um, okay…” Leventhal said, seemingly stunned.

“That’s news that we’re breaking here,” he added sarcastically.

“Um, not appropriate,” he continued, looking as though he was prompted by a producer to address the comparison.

Moments later, without Paulina on the screen, Leventhal said, “We’re going to wrap this segment a little early because of some of the language that was used in this segment. We apologize to our viewers for that.”

He went on to ask one more question to Schoen — about how he was spending Thanksgiving.

Anchor Arthel Neville came on to apologize again.

“We are all Americans, and that is the focus and we want to reiterate that we do not condone the language that Anna Paulina just displayed here, and we apologize to Secretary Clinton for that,” she said. “Fox News does not condone her sentiments.”

Neither Paulina nor Turning Point have addressed the incident on Twitter.

UPDATE:

On Friday evening, Paulina issued an apology on Twitter, saying she was placed “on the wrong segment”.
