Police say a woman held up a convenience store at gunpoint – then used a taxi as a getaway vehicle.

Worse, she left her 1-year-old daughter in the car while she allegedly committed the crime.

“Amanda Paoletti, 29, of Wilmington, was arrested after police tracked down the taxi and its driver – unaware that her quick stop at a Wawa was an armed robbery – gave police the address where she was dropped off afterward,” the News Journal reports, citing Sgt. Richard D. Bratz.

paolettiIt all occurred at about 3:30 a.m.

Bratz says Paoletti had the taxi wait outside the store and left her daughter and an acquaintance behind.

Inside, she allegedly “indicated she was armed with a gun and demanded money from the register,” according to CBS 3.

Police went to the location where the taxi dropped off the suspect and found the acquaintance, who professed to have no knowledge of what Paoletti was doing.

When cops found the suspect, she “was in possession of an undisclosed amount of cocaine and drug paraphernalia,” according to Bratz.

She was charged with first-degree robbery, endangering the welfare of a child, cocaine possession and drug paraphernalia possession.
