Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is doing nothing to quell speculation he’s running for president.

He talked with WTMJ host Charlie Sykes about his recent speech in Iowa and his reasoning for exploring a bid for the presidency.

“You don’t have to throw red meat all the time. Just say what you’re doing to do and do it,” Walker said.

“After 6 1/2 years of a guy who reads off the teleprompter, I think what Americans want of any political background is authentic leadership that gets the job done.”

RightWisconsin.com notes a number of other highlights:

On the topic of 2016 Presidential Buzz:

“I’d rather be called boring and bland over corrupt, ignorant or even dumb given some of the usual things the media loves tossing around.”

On his budget proposal for the UW System:

“This could be compared to Act 10 in the sense that we’re giving the UW Schools the tools to improve their flexibility and efficiency. It clearly puts the ball in their court.”

On “Right-to-Work” legislation:

“It’s not that I’m opposed, it that I have a number of other issues from the state budget to common core to school accountability on the front burner.”

The Washington Post reports Walker “filed papers to set up the committee, called ‘Our American Revival.'”

“Our American Revival encompasses the shared values that make our country great; limiting the powers of the federal government to those defined in the Constitution while creating a leaner, more efficient, more effective and more accountable government to the American people,” Walker said in a press release announcing the committee.
