Parents are fuming after a drive-in movie theater showed “50 Shades of Grey” over the weekend.

The Sacramento 6 reportedly screened the movie Sunday night, which was in full view of a nearby highway.

“I’d think it’s a safety issue; people trying to sneak a peek as they are going 70 miles-an-hour down the freeway and looking not where they are supposed to be going, but looking at the movie,” Sacramento resident John Schmidt tells Fox 40.

The movie earned an “R” rating due to its “strong sexual content, unusual behavior and graphic nudity.”
Parents say their children saw the “salacious scenes” while passing on Highway 50.

The theater manager seemed unfazed, responding, “Oh really?” She didn’t know what the theater’s policy is regarding sexual content on its screens.

The drive-in has six large screens, each one thousands of square feet.

While some shrugged about the incident, other parents we’re too happy.

“We just drove in and these two- he’s 12 and he’s 10- were very interested watching it coming in,” Schmidt says, adding he was driving to his 10-year-old’s birthday party at the time.

The drive-in’s general manager didn’t comment on the screening.
