Amnesty champion Congressman Luis Gutiérrez appeared at USC in Los Angeles to promote immigration reform and was met with a very hostile audience.
The event was held in Spanish only and headsets were offered for an English translation.
Gutiérrez walked into the room to chants of “Sí, se puede,” or “yes, we can!” – a familiar refrain of pro-amnesty activists popularized by President Obama’s 2008 campaign.
Others responded with chants of “U! S! A!”
Police intervened when the protesters wouldn’t stop.
A short time later, Gutiérrez literally ran out of the room.
