The PC police got a real police officer’s personal car banned from the department parking lot after it was deemed “offensive.”

The unidentified New York City officer’s newer model Dodge Charger is painted like the “General Lee” from the hit ’80s show, “The Dukes of Hazzard.”

But the PC police immediately seized on the Confederate flag painted on the top.

“I would feel uncomfortable driving that,” said New York City resident Michael Wynn told CBS 2. “If I was a cop, I would feel very uncomfortable.”

“It’s a symbol of racism, really if you think about it,” another man said.

The department seemed to agree.

A spokesman said, “due to the fact that its presence at the NYPD facility may be considered offensive and/or inappropriate, the registered owner is being instructed that the car should not be parked on NYPD property.”

The officer is described as a “big time Dukes of Hazzard fan” and has driven it to work couple a few times.

The photo appeared to be taken in a garage at the 34th Precinct “in a lot authorized for police officers,” out of normal public view.

CBS claims the show was last seen in 1985 and “attitudes about the Confederate flag have changed in the 30 years since.”

Last year, four Catholic school students were expelled for bringing a Confederate flag to a Long Island school.

In a letter to parents about the flag incident, Gary Cregan, principal of St. Anthony’s High School said the use of of the flag was “designed to revive past injustices or to inflame discrimination or racial intolerance is completely unacceptable and profoundly offensive,” NBC 4 reported.
