That’s a lot of sandwiches.
Larry Bowen was accused of trading a tractor-trailer full of lunch meat for crack cocaine.
Police began investigating when the Arkansas man didn’t show up for his deliveries. They found him with his truck in Memphis, eating a lunch meat sandwich (of course).
He told police he “inadvertently” traded the rig to two men who offered him crack cocaine, according to the Courier.
The trailer was found at a nearby storage facility with about a third of the meat missing.
ABC 13 reports Bowen, who plead guilty, was sentenced to one year of drug treatment, six years of probation and is required to pay $18,500 of restitution.
