Boston Red Sox star Pablo Sandoval apparently has better things to do than focus on his team’s losing situation.
An eagle-eyed fan caught him “liking” a model Diva Legacy’s Instagram posts during last night’s 5-2 loss.
Sandoval responded, “I know I f***** up. I made a mistake. I learned from that. I’m a human being, I made a mistake, so I apologize to my teammates, to the team, to the organization, the fans’ support,” according to The Sun.
“This is a thing that I pushed the button at the wrong time. I hit a ‘like’. I was in the bathroom, I pushed it at the wrong time.
“I just grabbed my phone and checked it.”
Red Sox management benched Sandoval for a game.
“From our standpoint he’s benched tonight,” team manager John Farrell said.
“I don’t know of any further discipline at this point in time or if there’s anything else coming down from MLB, but we’ve also handled some other things internally on the matter.”
The Red Sox lost 5-2.
“It’s a one-day thing. So I move forward to tomorrow to be on the field and help my team to win games,” according to Sandoval, who reportedly makes $8.25 million a year.
