The often-animatronic Hillary Clinton is desperately trying to cast herself as a real, compassionate human being.
That process is frequently painful to watch.
A video released by her campaign features the candidate with her arm around the shoulder of a boy while she was walking in a New Hampshire parade.
The campaign posed her answer as response to the question, “Hillary, what do you think of the other Presidential candidates?”
“You know I think it’s great in our country that anybody can run for president like when you grow up,” Clinton responded.
“If you’re over 35 you can run for president, okay? But you gotta study in school, you gotta work hard…”
“I’ve got straight As,” the boy interjected.
“Straight As, I like that — you keep it up,” she said.
“So for me, it’s everybody’s right to run and it’s my responsibility to make the case why I’m the best person,” she said before dismissing him.
This was a conversation sanctioned and released by the campaign. Just image what was left on the cutting room floor.
