There’s just one thing country music legend Charlie Daniels wishes President Obama would say.
The American Mirror caught up with Daniels today and asked him about a number of topics, including his thoughts on the killing of four Marines at a Chattanooga military center yesterday, as well as President Obama’s response–or lack thereof.
The president called it a “heartbreaking” circumstance, CBS reported.
When asked about the reluctance on the part of the Obama administration to name our enemy and call it what it is, Daniels responded, “The only reason I can think is because of his Muslim heritage.
“He’s afraid of besmirching Muslims but that to me doesn’t hold water because you can besmirch some Muslims without besmirching them all.
“Every time you say ‘Baptist,’ everybody don’t think you’re talking about the Westboro Baptist Church. I mean, people don’t equate those two. When you say Westboro Baptist Church, they don’t think you’re talking about the Southern Baptist Convention,” Daniels said.
“That’s a strain that’s about to break. People are really, really sick and tired of it.
“It’s bad enough to lose our servicemen on foreign soil but when we start losing them in America and then you’ve got a president who won’t even say who it was that killed them.
“I can’t imagine – nothing else holds water,” Daniels told the American Mirror.
“So I don’t know if that’s part of his Muslim upbringing that makes him reluctant to say that, I don’t know, but it’s a shame.
“It would be so nice if this guy would be a leader and just come out and say, ‘A Muslim extremist killed four Marines in Chattanooga, Tennessee yesterday.'”
“I mean, what’s wrong with saying that. Everybody knows it.
“I hate to think that’s the reason that he’s that way, I just don’t see any other reason,” Daniels concluded.
