On the White House fireplace mantle, President Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize may soon be joined by Michelle Obama’s Emmy.
An episode of “Billy on the Street” with Billy Eichner featuring the first lady in a race around the produce section of a grocery store and slow-dancing with Big Bird has been nominated for one of TV’s top prizes.
Michelle Obama’s press secretary, Joanna Rosholm, tweeted congratulations after the nominations were announced:

The first lady is vying against stiff competition. Among the others nominated in the “Short-form Live-Action Entertainment Program” category include “Between Two Ferns With Zach Galifianakis: Brad Pitt” and “Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show Starring Katy Perry,” according to Variety.
Obama appeared in a February episode to promote her “healthy” eating program, and specifically the “Eat Brighter” campaign.
“We’re driving kids to eat fruit!” Eichner yelled.
Obama said Sesame Street was “teaming up with the produce industry to help make eating fruits and vegetables fun and exciting.”
“Elana,” a New Yorker who said she hadn’t been in a grocery store in 10 years, was ushered in to meet Obama. She thought the first lady was actually an actress.
During the “FLOTUS Bonus Round,” Eichner asked the first lady, “Who is hotter? Abraham Lincoln or Barack Obama?” Obama answered her husband and Eichner said she was wrong.
He then told Obama to slow dance with Big Bird while he sang Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing.” No, really.
The first lady also pushed Eichner around in a shopping cart while he read Gweneth Paltrow’s Academy Award acceptance speech.
Winners will be announced during the September 20th ceremony.
