A woman accused of theft and violating probation was apprehended by authorities and in the process, allegedly tried to swallow crack cocaine in her possession.

Agents with the Douglas-Coffee Drug Unit say Linda Blank encountered detectives in Douglas, Georgia.
The police discovered Blank was a wanted woman. She had allegedly violated her probation and is accused of “theft by receiving.”
As agents were arresting Blank, she ingested and attempted to chew and swallow a small amount of crack cocaine.
According to a police report, Drug Unit detectives were able to stop the woman from downing the drugs and recovered them.
She was then charged for drug possession.
The Coffee County sheriff released additional details:
Sheriff Wooten reports earlier this afternoon (7/31), Douglas – Coffee Drug Unit detectives encountered Linda Blank (48) of Douglas on Cleveland St. near Dewey Ave. in Douglas. During a brief investigation, detectives discovered Blank was wanted on a probation violation warrant and a bench warrant for theft by shoplifting.
Upon Blank’s arrest, detectives and DCDU K-9 officers discovered Blank was attempting to chew up and swallow a small quantity of crack cocaine. Officers were able to recover the contraband before Blank swallowed the substance. Blank has also been charged with possession of cocaine.
