Democratic candidates for president seem unable to effectively handle ambush moments staged by “Black Lives Matter” activists.

The latest example comes as Good.is — a “magazine for the global citizen” — releases footage of a tense exchange between Hillary Clinton and race protesters. The cellphone video is from the recent “closed-door session” between the candidate and the activists in New Hampshire, which the video description says are from Boston.

In part two of the two-part exchange, the activist, who was never named, tells Clinton there is a “white problem of violence” against blacks in America.

“There’s not much that we can do to stop the violence against us,” he lamented.

“Respectfully, if that is your position, then I will only talk to white people about how we are going to deal with these very real problems,” Clinton replied, clearly irritated by his assertion.

“That’s not what I mean,” he shot back. “But, what you just said was a form of victim blaming. You were saying what the Black Lives Matter movement needs to do to change white hearts is to …” he said, before being interrupted.

The activist clearly wasn’t buying Clinton’s notion that hearts can’t be changed. Instead, she said, there needs to be a change in the system, laws and how resources are allocated. That was apparent in the first part of the exchange, as well.

At the beginning of the conversation, the activist said, “America’s first drug is free black labor. And turning black bodies into profit,” as Clinton very noticeably nods her head in apparent agreement.

“The mass incarceration system mirrors an awful lot like the prison. The prison plantation system. It’s a similar thread. And until someone takes that message and speaks that truth to white people in this country, so that we can actually take on anti-blackness as a founding problem in this problem.”

Clinton responded that America “has still not recovered from its original sin,” referring to slavery.

“All I’m saying is your analysis is totally fair,” Clinton said moments later. “It’s historically fair, it’s psychologically fair, it’s economically fair. But you’re going to have to come together as a movement and say here’s what we want done about it. Because you can get lip service from as many white people you can pack into Yankee Stadium and a million more like it who are going to say, ‘We get it, we get it. We are going to be nicer.’ That’s not enough in my book.”

Hillary suggested the Black Lives Matter activists “find some common ground” with “us sinners” that can make a difference “right here and now.”
