For three days in November, Tracey F. McCloud will be able to complain directly to those delivering her food — in jail.
McCloud called 911 in July after her Chinese food was “not up to par for her liking,” Local 12 reports.
“I asked to get my money back and they acting like they don’t understand me and took my food and won’t give me my money back,” she told the dispatcher.
“And this is why you called 911?” the operator asked.
“What am I supposed to do? Jump over the thing and beat ’em up and get my money back?” McCloud said.
After police determined she had no real emergency, McCloud was arrested and charged with misuse of 911, which is a misdemeanor.
This week, she was sentenced to jail for three days in November and will pay a $250 dollar fine.
Here’s the call:
In 2013, a New Hampshire woman called 911 claiming a medical emergency. When personnel arrived, they discovered she really just “wanted help ordering Chinese food,” CBS 4 reported.
Police arrested Elizabeth Niemi and charged her with misuse of Emergency-911.
