Lynnette Hardaway and Rochelle Richardson have made a name for themselves on YouTube promoting Donald Trump’s campaign for president.
They’ve called out Fox News host Megyn Kelly for her performance during the presidential debate and made the case for why Trump gives hope to black lives.
In that vein, they’ve turned their attention to the recent rash of attacks on the police and are pleading with President Obama to use his position to denounce the violence and defend law enforcement.
They’re not looking for the president to take government action, but merely use his moral authority to improve respect for police.
“Dear President Barack Obama, my name is Diamond,” Hardaway begins.
“We’re coming to you with this video message, asking you to speak out on the killings of our police officers across this country. As you know, our police officers are here to protect and serve. And it looks like we’re seeing more and more of our police officers being gunned down for no apparent reason.
“If you as our leader can get up, speak out on this and let the American people know that it is wrong to gun down our officers.
“We need you right now — America needs you. We need you to get on TV and let them know this is wrong because all across our country this is happening and it’s appalling and it hurts us to see this being played out on TV.
“So we’re appealing to you — we’re asking you to please speak out on this violence and we think if you come to the forefront and speak out on some of this, a lot of this will go away.”
Hardaway says she tried to call the White House but was unsuccessful and so they decided to deliver a video message.
