Police don’t appreciate receiving back talk — or cat talk, for that matter.
Rock Hill, South Carolina officers were called to a Hooters restaurant after witnesses saw a man driving a Mercedes Benz recklessly through the parking lot at 11:30 p.m. Saturday night.
When they arrived, they found the vehicle unoccupied and witnesses saying the driver was drunk.
The found a 25-year-old man after receiving another call about a man harassing customers outside the restaurant, The Herald reports. Police say he was “heavily intoxicated” and reeked of alcohol.
According to the police report, when an officer asked for the man’s name, he responded, “Meow.” The report states when the officer asked the man’s real name, he again responded, “Meow.”
Police asked the man for ID and he responded — in English — that he didn’t have one.
After arresting the man for disorderly conduct, “an officer found an ID identifying him as the Mercedes Benz owner,” The State reports. He was also charged with giving false information to police.
