Is Hillary Clinton mentally over running for president?
Her campaign has been posting videos to YouTube showing interactions with voters in an apparent attempt to prove she’s a human being and can connect with normal people.
In the latest video, she fields a question and strangely talks about her campaign in the past tense.
It’s titled, “What does it feel like to be a woman candidate?”
“What did it feel like being the first and only lady running for president,” a person described by the campaign as a “little supporter” asks Clinton.
Instead of correcting her and pointing out Carly Fiorina is also running, Hillary responded, “It was exciting and it was daunting.
“It was difficult because I knew when I first ran back in ’07-’08 that it was going to be hard because we’d never done it before. Other women had run but not in recent times and perhaps not as serious and well-funded campaign as I was able to put together.
“And I knew that I really had a lot to prove because people had to think that a woman could be president. We’ve never had one before. And I think this time, it seems easier. The people are much more open.”
She ended with an odd point, “I’ve said over and over again, I don’t want you to vote for me just because I’m a woman. I want you to vote for me on the merits, one of the merits is that I’m a woman.”
The audience cheered.
