Despite sagging poll numbers among adults, Hillary Clinton isn’t doing herself any favors with children, either.
Clinton was scheduled to appear at the Boys & Girls Club of the Lakes Region in Laconia, New Hampshire yesterday. Instead, she never showed.
“You want to be president of the United States? It starts with the youth,” father Michael Bormes tells NH1. “You couldn’t even live up to a promise that was made or that was told to these kids?”
Hillary’s visit “just didn’t happen,” Boys & Girls Club organizer Traci Tucker says. “She ran out of time. There were tears. They were really looking forward to it.”
The children had even decorated a room Clinton was going to use.
The news station confronted a Clinton campaign staffer still at the location. He refused to say anything, instead collecting event materials and walking out.
“It was a life lesson, I guess,” according to Tucker. “It’s a bummer of a lesson to learn, especially at this age, but it gave us a little bit of something to talk about.”
