While Republican candidates for president are talking about issues like illegal immigration, religious liberty and reining in the size and scope of government, Democratic front runner Hillary Clinton is appealing to voters by laughing about the time she supposedly tried to open a coconut.

The Clinton campaign posted a video today of Hillary reminiscing about the time she and Bill tried to crack open a coconut so Chelsea could see what was inside.

The video — strangely — begins with Hillary doing a mic check.

“We took turns — Bill and Chelsea and I — picking out what we would do on Wednesday nights,” she says. “And one day she said that she wanted to go to the store and buy a coconut because she wanted to know what was inside a coconut.

“So we went to the local store and we bought some coconuts and then we came back and the goal was to crack open the coconut,” she says.

“But neither Bill nor I could figure out how to get this really hard coconut to open! We tried everything! We tried chisels and screwdrivers and hammers and then we were throwing it on the driveway trying to crack it open!

She says Chelsea was “laughing hysterical” and claims it was a “learning experience.”

The latest poll finds Clinton with a 6-point edge over Sen. Bernie Sanders in Iowa, 46% to 43%, CBS reports. Meanwhile, she’s continuing to trail Sanders badly in New Hampshire, 54% to 39%.
