John Litton will not be passing “Go” and will definitely not be collecting $200.
According to the Stone County, Missouri Sheriff’s Department, Litton started a brawl after he was denied entry into a Monopoly board game tournament last weekend.
Litton “arrived at the 7th Annual Stone County OACAC Monopoly Tournament in Branson West, where event organizers asked Litton to sit out this year’s tournament due to unsportsmanlike conduct during the 2014 tournament,” KY 3 reports.
That’s when police say Litton began brawling with event organizers. No one was “seriously” hurt.
“I asked him to sit this one out,” tournament spokesman Cy Bortner tells the Huffington Post. “I added, ‘Wouldn’t you agree that the tone and attitude at your table was negative?’ Then he started telling me the ladies at his table were cheating and that he didn’t feel he should be penalized.
“Then when I went to end the phone call, he cursed at me: ‘You f-ing bastard!'”
Bortner claims Litton was violent towards two women last year.
“He punched one of the ladies who sat at his table last year,” according to Bortner. “He made an open toward the throat to another lady and he pawed me on the chest.”
He now faces five counts of 3rd degree assault, disturbing the peace, and trespassing. He’s being held in the Stone County jail without bond.
No, he doesn’t have a “Get out of jail free” card.
