Hillary Clinton is again saying what is palatable to the audience seated before her.
During a speech to Saint Anselm College New Hampshire Institute of Politics, Clinton referred to Republicans as her “friends.”
“There is evidence that Democratic presidents see accelerated growth, lower unemployment and smaller deficits. And although my Republican friends don’t like it when I say it, you are four times more likely to end up in a recession under a Republican president.”
The “friends” quip stands in stark contrast to Clinton’s rhetoric less than two weeks ago.
During the recent Democratic debate in Las Vegas, the candidates were asked, “You’ve all made a few people upset over your political careers. Which enemy are you most proud of?”
Clinton responded, “Well, in addition to the NRA, the health insurance companies, the drug companies, the Iranians. Probably the Republicans,” according to CBS.
