The People’s World — the newspaper of the Communist Party USA — took to the streets of San Francisco to gather opinions of Donald Trump’s plan to clamp down on illegal immigration.

Needless to say, the students at San Francisco State University featured in the video didn’t think much of Trump.

One woman claimed if Donald Trump is successful, anyone without five generations of connections to America will be deported. No, really. That’s what she thinks. Her highly paid professor probably said it.

“If he does follow through with this I’m going to lose a lot of my friends. That’s just — I don’t appreciate that,” the woman said. “That’s not cool.”

She also thought the idea of a wall on the southern border was “strange.”

“I don’t really feel like that’s going to do any good. If he’s thinking about doing certain things, he needs to make a standard policy and try to enforce that,” she said.

Last time we checked, that’s called a “law” — which is what he wants to create.

This woman, ironically, then accused Trump of “spouting nonsense.”

People’s World then includes a man, staring blankly into the camera for what feels like an eternity, before he says, “Who’s going to build the wall?” before staring blankly again. (These are America’s academic elites?)

“I think it’s very wrong to try to exclude a huge portion of the population and try to deport people who have probably been here longer than Trump and his entire family,” another woman says in the video. “I think it’s unfair to presume someone’s status as a citizen and try to remove them from a part of their community and their family.

“You’re disenfranchising people — basically destroying lives,” the woman says of Trump’s immigration plan.

The final woman accuses Trump of not being a “serious person. He’s crazy. I mean how can anybody really think that he’s genuinely wants to be president or is genuinely running for president?”

If this is the best the People’s World could find, can you imagine what was left on the cutting room floor?
