In a humorous social media mess up, Montana Democratic Gov. Steve Bullock’s official Twitter account posted an article lauding the governor’s recent trade mission to Taiwan and “North” Korea.
The governor’s Twitter account of course meant to tweet “S. Korea.” The tweet was quickly deleted and re-written with the correct Korea.
Clearly some kind of a meeting between the Gov. of Montana and arguably the world’s most oppressive and reclusive regime would be big news, and the Montana Republican Party’s official Twitter account immediately began giving the governor a hard time over the mistake.
We’re already seeing significant benefits from my trade mission to Taiwan & S. Korea https://t.co/EME2PwrkYq

Gov. Bullock just returned from a week long trade mission to Taiwan and South Korea. He was accompanied by a delegation of Montana business leaders. The point of the trip was to forge relationships with businesses in East Asia and help Montana businesses understand how to access Asian markets.
“I think its been a good trip,” Bullock told MTN News on Tuesday. “In speaking to many of the delegates, they’ve either both reached agreements or deals while we’ve been over here for a very compressed short period of time.”
