Ohio’s Sycamore Township really doesn’t like the demon baby Jesus sitting in Jasen Dixon’s front yard.

The resident created a “zombie” Nativity scene for the second year in a row, partly because he owns a haunted house and he uses the figures to promote his business.

Dixon said he erected the scene last year, by township administrators ordered him to take it down “because he didn’t have a permit,” CBS 12 reports.

This year, he says he applied for the necessary permit, but was denied because administrators said the “accessory use structure” — the stable, which amounts to a few boards nailed together — violated Section 10-3.3 of the zoning code. He was ordered to remove it.

He thinks they rejected his permit request because they don’t like the subject matter.

“I think it’s the theme. It just rubs people the wrong way and it puts the spotlight on me. That’s why they’re coming down so hard on me,” Dixon says.

Dixon is being threatened with a $500 per day fine for violating the zoning code. He says he hasn’t received a fine yet, but expects to.

“It’s not really hurting anything and it’s here for not even a month,” he contends.
