The Republican National Committee will consider a resolution urging the impeachment of President Barack Obama at its January meeting.

Obama pointingThe resolution, being sponsored by Michigan Committeeman Dave Agema, will first be heard in a subcommittee at the RNC’s upcoming winter meeting.

First reported by the West Michigan Politics blog, the resolution, which appears to be drafted by the North American Law Center, will be considered during the January 13-15 meetings.

Titled, “Articles of Impeachment of Barack Hussein Obama,” it begins, “Resolved, That Barack Hussein Obama, acting President of the United States, is impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors, and that the following articles of impeachment to be exhibited to the Senate.”

NALC: Articles of Impeachment of Barack Hussein Obama

Article 1 — “Usurpation of the Oval Office via criminal identity fraud” — reads, “Compelling prima facie evidence exists which demonstrates that Barack Hussein Obama has engaged in false personation and aggravated identity theft and in conspiracy to commit false personation and identity theft in the pursuit of high office and government power.”

The accusation is that Obama concealed his “true identity” in order to stand for election. In layman’s terms, he wasn’t born in the United States.

Article 2 lists 19 instances which claim to prove “malfeasance, misconduct and abuse of the Oval Office,” and they range from the IRS targeting of conservative organizations to circumventing the Congress by making laws through executive orders.

Article 3 accuses the president of “aiding and abetting known enemies of the United States,” including the Muslim Brotherhood, ISIS, Al Qaeda, Hamas and Taliban and several others.

Agema tells the Daily Wire, “It’s simply asking our House of Representatives…to abide by their oath of office and accomplish what they should do.”

“The way it works is one House of Representatives member puts in impeachment articles for the House and it starts the process,” Agema says. “Recently, we didn’t own the House and the Senate, but Republicans do now, and the purpose of it really is we’re a nation of laws and separation of powers.”

He adds, “It lets the president, Obama, know that we’re not going to put up with his ability to go around the Constitution. Secondly, it warns any future president that he doesn’t have that right either, and it encourages the base to get involved.”

There have been recent rumblings about impeachment proceedings, causing Republican presidential candidates, such as Donald Trump, to denounce them.

The best thing that we have going with Obama is that he’s got a year left,” Trump said to talk radio host Alex Jones in December, according to Politico.

“So don’t make him a martyr?” Jones asked.

“In a way you’ll make him a martyr,” Trump responded.
