Hillary Clinton’s campaign didn’t want to be associated with the lawyer for a woman killed by an illegal alien in San Francisco.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports Bill Clinton was scheduled to attend a fundraiser at the home of Frank Pitre Monday night.

He’s the lawyer for the family of Kate Steinle, the woman allegedly killed by Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez last summer “walking on Pier 14 with her father,” ABC 7 reported.

Sanchez had been deported five times prior to the crime. He’s pleaded not guilty.

Steinle’s family is now suing the city and Pitre is representing them.

According to the Chronicle, the campaign objected after catching wind of the location and intervened, demanding the event be moved.

“Faster than you can yell ‘Fox News,’ the Clinton campaign was on the phone with local organizers to find someplace besides Pitre’s home for the fundraiser Monday night,” the paper reports.

Doug Sovern of KCBS radio says the event was to cost $2,700 per ticket.

The event was moved to the home of U.S. Rep. Jackie Speier.

There, one donor allegedly asked Clinton to sign a talking doll of the former president. The toy went unsigned as it uttered unflattering phrases such as, “I did not have sexual relations with that woman,” referring to the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

“Like an idiot, I hadn’t read it,’’ says Lee Houskeeper, the attendee.
