People may still voting in the nation’s second nominating contest, but Ben Carson is already talking about being someone else’s number two.
Appearing on Fox News, Carson said he would be open to being nominated for vice president.
“Would you ever be open to a VP slot,” host Neil Cavuto asked Carson.
“I would have to have major philosophical alignment with whoever it was,” Carson responded. “And I would have to have guarantees that I could do some substantial things.”
“So with Donald Trump … would you entertain being on a ticket with him?”
“I would certainly sit down and discuss it with him,” Carson said. He didn’t take Cavuto’s bait when he asked who Carson wouldn’t serve with.
“As long as there is significant philosophical alignment, I wouldn’t have any problem.
“But it’s truly not what I’m aiming to do,” Carson said, again trying to act like a presidential candidate.
