An MSNBC reporter tagged along with some campaign canvassers in South Carolina and was surprised to find no black Hillary Clinton supporters.
Joy Reid said Friday morning that she went along with volunteers from the Bernie Sanders campaign “who were talking with African-American voters in this neighborhood in Columbia.
“We talked to a lot of undecided voters. They talked to a lot of voters who are decided for Bernie. We actually didn’t run into any Clinton supporters which is interesting because that’s sort of off the polling we’ve heard about.”
Reid’s segment included comments from a black Bernie Sanders supporter.
“I like everything Bernie stands for,” Jauris Shaw told the reporter.
The package also included an older black voter who would fit the demographic of a Clinton supporter but as of now is undecided.
