Witnesses say the only thing salvaged from a burned vehicle was a Bible.

WBIR reports a man was driving on state route 385 in Memphis, Tennessee when his car was struck by another driver, causing it to careen off the road.

The man’s car hit a pole, and it erupted in flames. A K-9 officer pulled the man from the vehicle after he was pinned in it during the crash.

Moments later, it exploded.

WBIR reporter Russell Biven posted photos of the car in flames and the aftermath:

Driver in Memphis was safely pulled out of his car before it exploded. Everything was destroyed….except…..a Bible. …

“Everything was destroyed….except…..a Bible,” Biven writes on Facebook. “It was in the passenger seat virtually untouched.

“The sight of the surviving scripture left some witnesses in tears. Pretty cool if you ask me.”
