There’s so much ice water running through Hillary Clinton’s veins, she’s able to laugh off an FBI investigation into her handling of classified and top secret information.
During an appearance on CNBC Friday from Detroit, Clinton dismissed the idea that anything will come from the inquiry and went so far as to suggest she’s the “most transparent public official in modern times.”
“You Republican opponents have openly begun to suggest that you could be prosecuted, you could go to jail as a result of this (email) issue,” CNBC reporter John Harwood asked.
“When the average person hears there’s an FBI investigation and some guy who worked for her has gotten immunity from prosecution, shouldn’t they be tempted to conclude, like, well, maybe she could get prosecuted?”
“No,” Clinton responded laughing, “not at all.”
She accused Republicans of engaging in “wishful thinking,” saying, “this is not anything any people should be worried about.”
When given the chance to “concede” that she and some of her people at the State Department were “sloppy,” Clinton refused.
After repeating her line about the classification of the documents at the time they were sent, she went to far as to claim, “I said make them all public. I’ve been the most transparent public official in modern times as far as I know.”
