The National Rifle Association’s newest video is sending a very clear message to terrorists plotting the downfall of America, and it leaves no question about what the gun freedom group thinks about President Obama.

“To the ayatollahs of Iran and every terrorist you enable, listen up!” country music icon and long-time Second Amendment supporter Charlie Daniels announced, his gaze fixed on the camera. “You might have met our fresh-faced flower child president and his weak-kneed Ivy League friends, but you haven’t met America.

“You haven’t met the heartland, where people will defend this nation with their bloody callused bare hands if that’s what it takes. You haven’t met the steel workers, or the hard rock miners or the swamp folks in Cajun country who can wrestle a full-grown gator out of the water,” he said as war memorials, steel shipping freighters, and farmlands flashed across the screen.

“You haven’t met the farmers, the cowboys, the loggers, the truck drivers,” he continued with scenes of trains passing and an inner-city traffic illustrating his message. “You don’t know the mountain men who live off the land, or the brave cops who fight the good fight in the urban war zones.”

“No, you’ve never met America,” Daniels continued as the video cut back to him staring down the camera, “and you ought to pray you never do.

“I’m the National Rifle Association of America, and I’m freedom’s safest place.”

Daniels, an accomplished signer, guitarist, and fiddler, has helped shape American music since the 1950s, including work with a wide range of musicians from Bob Dylan to Hank Williams to Kid Rock, and others. While best known for hits like “The Devil Went Down to Georgia,” Daniels has supported causes on both the political right and left throughout his career, though he’s been particularly critical of President Obama and other far-left politicians like Sen. Harry Reid later in life.

The NRA video was initially published on the NRA’s YouTube channel Tuesday and generated 6,981 views so far.

NRA News also posted it to Facebook Wednesday morning and is spreading like wildfire with over 202,411 views in the first four hours. It’s been shared more than 8,100 times and generated thousands of likes and hundreds of comments, nearly all in support of its message.

“God bless America,” Gaetano Zonno wrote, “I would lay down my life for our freedom.”

“Awesome, beautiful. Mr. Daniels, you make me proud to be an American,” Austin Moon wrote. “I’ll stand with you – any day or time!”

“God I love this … Stand up and defend our country!” Linda Horton added.
