Even staging a rally on a college campus housing plenty of warm bodies wasn’t enough for Bill Clinton to fill the room.

A photo tweeted by Chris Garretty, an organizer for the Clinton campaign, shows empty space at Friday’s rally in Appleton, Wisconsin.

The stairs to the right of the photo are for the media riser.

Another photo, posted by a different campaign organizer, tried to put a different spin on the crowd size.

A Post Crecent newspaper reporter tweeted another photo of the room prior to the event, which showed the space at Lawrence University wasn’t that large to begin with.
