Everything is bigger in Texas — including the hail.
Baseball-sized hailstones rained down on Wylie, Texas Monday, and amateur video reveals the shocking scenes.
CBS 11 photojournalist Jake Shannon captured the scene at his home.
Hail pelted the windows, eventually breaking them and devouring the blinds.
He then moved to the front of the house, where he showed trees being shredded in the yard.
Another video, posted by CBS DFW, showed the chaos at Susan Thompson’s home when giant hailstones pummeled her backyard pool.
Thompson told the news station hail was actually penetrating the roof of her home.
“This is what it sounded like coming through. It was like war… coming through the roof and coming through the windows,” Anthony and Sherry Pettofrezzo told Fox 4.
“We came to check on my sister’s place and it’s just all torn up. Almost every single window is broken. The car windows are broken, everything. And she’s out of town,” Angela Baltzer said.
