The Clinton campaign mishandled a flag at a rally today in Watertown, New York — and it’s not the first time.

Brian Dwyer of Time Warner Cable News tweeted this photo of pre-rally preparations, and he inadvertently captured the campaign disrespecting the flag:

The American Flag Code states that the flag never touch the ground.  Section 8 of the code is entitled “Respect for flag” and reads:

No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the flag should not be dipped to any person or thing. Regimental colors, State flags, and organization or institutional flags are to be dipped as a mark of honor.

It continues, “The flag should never touch anything beneath it, such as the ground, the floor, water, or merchandise.”

It’s not the first time the Clinton campaign has been seen mistreating the American flag.

In February, The Washington Post tweeted a disturbing photo that may show what some Hillary Clinton staffers really think about Old Glory.

“With many hours to go, Clinton’s staff has flags ready for their election night party,” the paper tweeted.
