A group of Hispanic activists “mic checked” Bill Clinton in Pomona, California on Saturday.
At least three people holding signs reading, “Not Ready 4 KKKillary” and “I’m Not With Her,” began shouting through a small bullhorn. They chanted the throwback Occupy Wall Street slogan “mic check,” which is used to interrupt a speaker.
Video shows the group shouting and a minor skirmish as an attendee tried to grab the bullhorn away.
Clinton seemed more confused than confrontational, unlike a few weeks ago in Philadelphia.
“Oh, let them talk,” Clinton said as the crowd booed and began chanting “Hillary.”
Security moved in and escorted the group to the exit, where they continued shouting.
Ironically, Clinton said, “This is not a Donald Trump rally. We welcome dissenters and protesters here,” as they had already been kicked out.
LA Times columnist Cathleen Decker reports there were about eight protesters.
