A prominent Clinton supporter sees a potential pratfall of a two-woman ticket.
Former Gov. Ed Rendell appeared on MSNBC today and said some people “might” see “drawbacks” to Hillary Clinton naming Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren as her running mate.
“There’s no question” that Warren can excite crowds, Rendell said.
“Some of the Sanders camp I heard during the campaign were a little annoyed at Sen. Warren because she didn’t endorse Bernie Sanders.
“But she didn’t endorse Hillary Clinton either, she stayed neutral, which I think was the proper stance for her to take under those circumstances,” he said.
“So she does have that as a significant plus.
“The drawbacks obviously are, uh, does two women on the ticket make a difference? I don’t think so but some people might.”
He then implied that he didn’t know whether she had the experience to be Commander-in-Chief.
