There’s a metaphor in there somewhere:
She’s striking the foundations of our democracy constitutional Republic.
She’s chipping away at the separation of powers.
Regardless, Hillary Clinton’s motorcade struck scaffolding surrounding the steps on the Senate side of the U.S. Capitol on Thursday.
CNN created a GIF of the incident:

As CNN reports, campaign chairman John Podesta (in the tan suit), “was seen at the crash looking perplexed.”
CBS Evening News producer Rebecca Kaplan reports it happened as Clinton’s motorcade was leaving the Capitol complex.
Her photo shows a broken window, glass on the ground and lengthy dents on the driver’s of the vehicle.
