A nasty thunderstorm rolled through the Upper Midwest on Sunday and some Chicago drivers caught on camera the aftermath of an apparent lightning strike.
Twitter user @IslesofErin was driving on the west side of the city when she captured sparks and fire raining down from the canopies of an outdoor subway station.

The wild incident occurred at the Illinois Medical District Blue Line station, according to Fox 32.
“We are still assessing the full scope of the damage,” Chicago Transit Authority spokeswoman Catherine Hosinski said.
