It’s 1968 all over again.

That was the year leftists condemned the U.S. military at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago and the scene reared its ugly head again in Philadelphia Wednesday night.

As former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta complimented the troops, many in the crowd at the DNC disagreed by booing and shouting “lies!” at him.

Jeers and chants could be heard as he was telling his personal story.

“Never did my parents dream that their son would grow up to be the Secretary of Defense of the most powerful military in the world,” he said, as the boos increased.

The chants of “Lies! Lies! Lies” grew, too.

In response, some shouted “USA! USA! USA!” to counter the boo birds.
