As the old saying goes, don’t ask a question if you don’t want to know the answer.
Surely, the CNN anchor must have thought, Hillary Clinton wouldn’t have been so careless with her personal email server, then so forgetful when she was asked about it.
When Brooke Baldwin jumped to her in-house fact checker to debunk a guest’s claims about Hillary’s technology practices, her face fell when she realized it was true!

A guest gave a detailed rundown on Friday of the revelations contained in the FBI’s Labor Day weekend document drop.
- 17,500 emails that she lied about turning over
- Server wipe
- Didn’t understand what classification mark ‘C’ stood for
- Thought drone strikes aren’t classified
- Claimed one device — had 13 BlackBerries, 5 iPads
“They destroyed BlackBerries with hammers in the State Department,” the guest charged.
The Clinton News Network’s Brooke Baldwin found her opening: surely such patriotic Americans serving their country wouldn’t do such a thing!
Interrupting the guest, Baldwin said, “Hang on, hang on, hang on, hang on, hang on, hang on, can you fact check that.
“Evan Perez, hammers? Fact check that for me please on the fly.”
“Uh, yes, they did,” Perez responded as a stunned Baldwin said, “They did…” swallowing as if all of her Hillary dreams had suddenly become nightmares.
“As you mentioned there were 13 devices, mobile devices and 5 iPads that the FBI said in some way were used with her private email server and they did in some cases just destroy them with hammers when they were done using them,” Perez confirmed.
