While Hillary Clinton’s reported bout of pneumonia may not kill her, one reporter thinks it could be “fatal” for her presidential prospects in close battleground states.

John Ralston, purveyor of Nevada’s Ralston Reports and an analyst with KTNV, says the campaign’s “cover-up” could be worse than Clinton’s actual declared illness.

“Guess who made it a big deal,” Ralston said, “the Clinton campaign.”

Ralston reports Bill Clinton will represent his wife at a North Las Vegas rally on Wednesday.

“Last night (Sunday), the campaign said that only the California leg of her trip was canceled, so this is a change,” he said.

Indeed, HillarySpeeches.com lists an appearance by Bill on the 14th, but currently does not provide a location or time.

“As Richard Nixon might remember, the cover-up is worse than the crime.

“This episode has less to do with Hillary’s health — unless there’s something we don’t know and she really is ill — than the campaign sickness. The disease is called paranoia and secrecy and it could be fatal, especially as battleground states tighten, including Nevada,” Ralston said.
