Hillary Clinton’s campaign sent an email to supporters on Wednesday acknowledging she hasn’t yet recovered from her collapse on the New York City street on Sunday, but that she’s “on her way to 100 percent.”
National Finance Director Dennis Cheng wrote to backers, “I’m happy to report she’s feeling great, resting, and on her way to 100 percent in order to fight in the final eight weeks ahead.”
He didn’t indicate when — if ever — she’ll be back to 100 percent.
He added, “Showing that you’ve got Hillary’s back is especially important as we enter these critical weeks.”
He also said the campaign needs “to start getting in gear to show that we’re the stronger team.”
Clinton is scheduled to return to the campaign trail on Thursday when she appears at a Greensboro, North Carolina rally, according to HillarySpeeches.com.
Here’s Cheng’s whole email:
After Clinton’s “medical episode” on Sunday, her campaign was forced to disclose she was apparently diagnosed with pneumonia 48 hours earlier.
Clinton told Anderson Cooper on Monday she and her campaign kept it a secret because she didn’t think it was news.
