While most Americans would want to see the United States actually fighting terrorist organizations with the intent to eliminate them, the Obama administration instead is waging a battle with them over the “narrative.”
White House spokesman Josh Earnest said on CNN this morning that the U.S. is currently engaging in a “narrative fight.”
“What I can tell you is when it comes to ISIL, we are in a narrative fight with them, a narrative battle,” Earnest said.
“And what ISIL wants to do is they want to project that they are an organization that is representing Islam in a fight and a war against the West, and a war against the United States.
“That is a bankrupt, false narrative,” Earnest declared.
“It’s a mythology and we have made progress in debunking that mythology,” he said.
And yet, that doesn’t appear to be stopping bombings and stabbings on American soil…
