Bill Clinton is continuing to dig at certain groups of voters to win over other ones.

During a speech in Indianola, Iowa on Wednesday, he ridiculed Donald Trump’s campaign slogan and what he thinks it means.

While riffing on Thomas Jefferson and the Barbary pirates (yes, really), Clinton said, “We have been down this road a long time.

“I’m a white Southerner, I remember what it was like when somebody said they were going to make America great again,” Clinton said, referring to Trump’s slogan.

“They basically said, ‘Here’s your tobacco, here’s your shotgun, you’re in charge,” he said as the crowd laughed.
