Not even a passing train blasting its horn could get Tim Kaine to stop talking.
During an outdoor rally in Springfield, Ohio today, Hillary Clinton’s vice presidential nominee was disrupted by a train sounding its horn at a nearby road crossing.
The moment happened about 28 minutes into Kaine’s 44-minute stem winder of a speech:
Hammering on Donald Trump, Kaine said, “You know he’s divisive — all the insults that he’s waged against us.
“You know he’s dangerous because he’s temperamentally,” Kaine was saying as the horn began to blast.
“I guess that means I’m supposed to wrap up when you hear the horn,” he said as the approaching train’s sound grew louder.
Kaine’s voice grew louder as the train got closer.
“This horrible tape about his treatment of women,” Kaine said, before trying to shout over the train, “This in and of itself should disqualify somebody from being president of the United States.”
He then invited the audience to cheer for the passing train as he waved at it.
“I can’t complain, these guys are headquartered in Norfolk, Virginia. I’ve gotta give them a shout out,” he said.
Kaine proceeded to talk another 15 minutes before wrapping up.
