Google AdWords apparently does not want folks who look up “gun rights” on the search engine to come across websites that inform them about their rights, and the never-ending efforts to strip them away.

“Upon setting up Google AdWords for this website, Google asked me to input some ‘keywords,’ … search terms that may trigger the ad to appear next to search results,” The Daily Informer reports.

adwordsgunrights“I entered as many keywords pertaining to the website as I could think of. SURPRISE-SURPRISE, Google didn’t like one of the keywords I entered. Could you imagine which keyword that could be? Low and behold, it’s ‘gun rights.’”

The Daily Informer’s website includes the tagline “WE THE PEOPLE – GOD BLESS AMERICA” and features blogs and articles like “Understanding the Constitution,” “WikiLeaks: Hillary plans to implode U.S. economy,” and articles favorable to Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

“Google won’t allow our website, (which links to articles pertaining to constitutional rights), to show up when someone types ‘gun rights’ in the Google search engine,” the site reports. “Yet again, we have more evidence of Google being influenced by people with a specific agenda.”

The blog pointed to a Breitbart article about an email from Hillary Clinton press secretary Brian Fallon that explained how the Democratic presidential candidate planned to impose several restrictions on guns if elected.

“Sidenote: Remember, WikiLeaks exposed Hillary’s plan to restrict gun rights by EXECUTIVE ORDER,” The Daily Informer wrote.

Fallon’s October 2015 email – exposed by WikiLeaks earlier this month – explained why Clinton’s proposed gun restrictions were tougher than those of her primary opponent, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.

“Circling back around on guns as a follow up to the Friday morning discussion: the Today show has indicated they definitely plant to talk bout guns, and so to have the discussion be more of a news event than her previous times discussing guns, we are going to background reporters tonight on a few of the specific proposals she would support as President – universal background checks of course, but also closing the gun show loophole by executive order and imposing manufacturer liability,” the email read.

Regardless, The Daily Informer contends that once the words “gun rights” were removed from its Google AdWords campaign, it was approved.

“Update: I removed the keyword ‘gun rights’ and moved forward,” the site reports. “It’s interesting how Google won’t allow ‘gun rights’ as a keyword, especially when the website is considerable constitutional.

“Try it yourself. Go to AdWords.Google.com and set up a mock campaign.”
