Google’s Eric Schmidt had offered the use of a company plane to fly Bill Clinton and his entourage to Africa in February 2015.
Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta and Bill Clinton aide Tina Flournoy exchanged a series of emails released by Wikileaks on Monday and in them, they shared apparent horror stories about using Schmidt’s plane.
“They are donating the Google plane for the Africa trip,” Flournoy wrote to Podesta on February 22, 2015.
“Nice way to travel,” Podesta responded a short time later.
“Yes, until it breaks down in Ethiopia – as it did the last time we used it,” Flournoy wrote back.
“Funny, the only time I was on it, it broke down in Rwanda and we had to fly Ethiopia Airlines home,” Podesta lamented back the Flournoy.
