Barack Obama and Seth Meyers mocked the prospect of a “President Trump” in 2011, but Tuesday’s results reveal it’s Donald Trump — and his millions of supporters — who are getting the last laugh.

Meyers hosted the 2011 White House Correspondents dinner and had a peculiar obsession with Trump during his routine.

“Donald Trump has been saying that he will run for president as a Republican, which is surprising since I just assumed he was running as a joke,” Meyers said as the camera cut to a stone-faced Trump who must have been thinking, “Just wait till 2016.”

Meyers ridiculed Trump’s hair and again, the Donald never flinched.

“Donald Trump owns the Miss USA Pageant, which is great for Republicans because it will streamline their search for a vice president,” Meyers continued.

Obama got his digs into, too.

“Now I know that he’s taken some flak lately, but no one is happier, no one is prouder to put this birth certificate matter to rest than the Donald,” the president said.

“And that’s because he can finally get back to focusing on the issues that matter, like, did we fake the moon landing? What really happened in Roswell?”

Maybe on January 21, 2017, when Trump is in charge of the full federal bureaucracy, he’ll find out.

“Say what you will about Mr. Trump, he certainly would bring some change to the White House,” Obama added, before showing a Vegas-ized Executive Mansion.

Fast-forward five years and look who’s laughing now.
